Jamie Wiggin
Jamie Wiggin, born in 1982, is a Maine native who has had a lifelong passion for painting. Jamie's early years were spent working at her family-owned seafood market (Jess's) in the south end of Rockland, Maine. Jamie briefly studied Art at the University of Southern Maine, leaving to instead study the work of her true teachers, the great painters of the early 19th and 20th centuries. The influence of their work is evident in Jamie's moving paintings of the people and places she knows so well. Jamie's skill and attention to detail is reminiscent of the French academic painters. However, it is the passion with which Jamie paints that makes her paintings true works of art.
